Creamy strawberry butter is one of the easiest yet most impressive ways to elevate any meal. Even people who don’t typically put butter on their bread love it.
The first time I ever had strawberry butter was at a steakhouse my parents took me to when I was a child. Since my mother had never had anything like it, she begged the server to find out the recipe.
To our surprise, the server told my mom right then and there what was in it. Apparently, they made it to order. So the servers often made it right before they brought it to the tables.
Creamy Strawberry Butter Ingredients
You might be surprised to know that the only two essential ingredients are butter and strawberry preserves. The restaurant actually used margarine, but I prefer butter.
The other ingredient my mom started adding is vanilla extract. In fact, she did it at my dad’s suggestion to elevate the flavors.
So that’s how I sometimes make it—with butter, strawberry preserves, and a dash of vanilla extract. After you make it with this recipe the first time, you can adjust the amounts to suit your personal taste.
I prefer a lower strawberry-to-butter ratio, but my husband likes more strawberries. So I go back and forth.

How to Make Creamy Strawberry Butter
First, you need for the butter to be at room temperature. Mash it with the tines of a fork.
If it’s still too firm, you may want to put it in the microwave for about 10 seconds to soften it. Don’t leave it in there much longer, or it will melt.
Next, add the strawberry preserves. Stir it into the butter. If the butter is still too hard, you can put it in the microwave one more time but only for about 5 seconds.
Finally, if you want the extra flavor, add a dash of vanilla. This is an unnecessary ingredient, but it adds a little depth of flavor.
How to Serve It
We like it on bread. However, it’s also delicious on potatoes, meat, and pasta.
If you’re not sure, try a small amount. I bet you come back for more.

That sounds like the perfect accompaniment to hot rolls for Easter! We are delaying our Easter dinner by at least a month this year - will definitely add this to my list of "sides". Thanks!
