I love this bacon dijon dip for parties, game nights, or simply for snacking. It’s delicious and absolutely addicting! I love the perfect blend of savory and tangy flavors! All you need are a few basic ingredients to create this crowd-pleasing dip very quickly!
How to Make This Delicious Dip
First, I like to gather all of the ingredients to make sure I have what I need. Once everything is in front of you, it’s super easy to whip up this dip in a matter of minutes.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard
- 1/3 cup bacon bits
- 1 tablespoon horseradish
- 1 tablespoon hot sauce (optional)
The creamy base from the mayonnaise, combined with the sharp, tangy dijon, is a match made in heaven. The bacon bits add smoky texture, and the horseradish lends some heat and earthiness. I add hot sauce because I love that extra little kick.
I’ve also tried adding a little honey. It’s good, but I prefer less sweetness in this dip. My husband said both versions were equal.
Directions
So when I said this was an easy recipe, I wasn’t kidding. Simply put all of the ingredients into a mixing bowl. Stir everything together, and now you have dip!
Transfer it to a serving bowl. Place some dipping options, like pretzels, chips, or fresh veggies around the bowl of dip. You might want to have a second bowl of dip in the fridge because the first one will disappear quickly.
I make a wide variety of dips, including a variety of potato chip dip recipes. And you don’t have to limit dipping to potato chips. As is the case with all of the things I make in the kitchen, they’re super easy, from start to finish!
I’ve placed a printable recipe card at the bottom of this post for your convenience.
Tips for the Perfect Dip
Use quality ingredients. Use high-quality mayonnaise and Dijon mustard for the best flavor. The quality of the bacon bits also matters—opt for real bacon bits over artificial ones if possible.
Adjust the heat. The amount of horseradish and hot sauce can be adjusted to suit your taste preferences. If you prefer a milder dip, reduce the quantities or omit the hot sauce altogether.
Make it ahead. This dip can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator. The flavors meld together even better after a few hours, making it an ideal make-ahead appetizer for parties.
