This chicken tenders dipping sauce is an easy recipe that you can make with a few simple ingredients from any grocery store. It’s even good on chicken wings, fish sticks, a chicken sandwich, French fries, or anything else you like to dip.

This is one of my favorite sauces for busy weeknights. After all, it’s something you can whip up very quickly with common ingredients.

Easy and Delicious Dipping Sauce

One of the things I enjoy doing whenever we have crispy chicken tenders, fish sticks, or other food that’s fun to dip is to make a different kind of sauce to go with it. 

This is a quick chicken tenders dipping sauce recipe that you can alter to suit your personal taste. It’s perfect to serve with a family dinner, potluck, or a game day get-together with friends.

Make some for your next party, and you’ll probably get asked for the recipe. It’s up to you whether or not to tell people how to make it.

Ingredients

There are only a few basic ingredients in this delicious sauce.

Worcestershire sauce, mayonnaise, orange marmalade, onion powder, garlic powder, and hot sauce

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Mayonnaise
  • Orange marmalade, melted in the microwave
  • Worcestershire sauce
  • Mustard (dijon mustard or tangy yellow mustard)
  • Your favorite hot sauce
  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder

Please keep in mind that this is how we like the sauce. You can increase or decrease any of the ingredients you want. In fact, you can even add something that’s not listed here. The key is to make this versatile dipping sauce delicious for your family.

  • Lemon juice
  • Lime juice
  • Soy sauce
  • Cayenne pepper
  • Garlic salt (instead of garlic powder)
  • Onion salt
  • Celery salt
  • Sweet chili sauce 
  • Honey (if you prefer a sweet sauce)
  • Sour cream
  • Spicy ketchup
  • Apple cider vinegar (for a tangy flavor)
  • Chopped yellow, white, or green onions
  • Grated parmesan cheese
  • Black pepper

How to Make Chicken Dipping Sauce

This recipe is super easy. If you’re like me, you’ll be happy to know that there are only a few steps involved.

First, put the melted marmalade, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, hot sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder in a medium or small bowl.

Stir the ingredients until they are well mixed. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. I like to either cover the bowl with plastic wrap or put it in an airtight container overnight if possible.

Can You Make This Dipping Sauce Without Mayonnaise?

I’ve made many chicken dipping sauces without mayonnaise. Other delicious ingredients you may want to try are plain yogurt, sour cream, or softened cream cheese.

Can You Use Other Types of Fruit Preserves to Make Chicken Dipping Sauce?

Yes, you absolutely can! Pineapple preserves are an excellent alternative! If you can’t find pineapple preserves, simply purchase a small can of crushed pineapple. Then add a little bit of honey for sweetness.

How Long Does This Chicken Dipping Sauce Last?

I like to make enough dipping sauce for future meals and some of my favorite finger foods. This sauce lasts a couple of weeks in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Can You Serve This Dipping Sauce at Room Temperature?

Yes, it’s delicious either at room temperature or cold, straight out of the fridge. It should last at room temperature for several hours.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup orange marmalade, melted
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard (dijon mustard or yellow mustard)
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder

Instructions

  1. Put all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Stir until well mixed.

Notes

Taste the sauce after you mix it. Add more of anything that you think it needs, but just a little bit at a time.
