Get ready to impress your friends with this wonderful treat. You don’t even have to tell them how easy it is to make.

Brownie Fruit Pizza Recipe

You have a choice of making the brownie base from scratch or using a boxed brownie mix. I used a mix to save time, which is what I typically do. It’s one of my favorite recipes when I want to impress someone with chocolate. Brownies are always good, but this brownie and fruit dessert pizza is so much more than that. You can also use either canned or homemade cream cheese frosting. I’ve done both, and they’re equally good.

Ingredients

For the base of the brownie pizza, you’ll need these items:

  • Brownie mix
  • Melted Butter
  • Eggs

Either make your own frosting or use canned cream cheese frosting. If you decide to make the cream cheese topping, you’ll need these ingredients:

  • Cream cheese
  • Softened butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Vanilla extract
powdered sugar, vanilla extract, cream cheese, and butter

You can stop there, and you’ll have a delicious cream cheese brownie pizza. But I like to add more to add color, texture, and flavor. In other words, let your taste buds guide you as you top your brownie pizza. The combination of the fudgy brownie topped off with your favorite fresh fruit will have your taste buds singing happy tunes!

Here’s what I add:

  • Pecan halves
  • Sliced strawberries
  • Blueberries

For exact measurements of each ingredient and full directions, go to the recipe card at the bottom of the page. You can even print out the card by using the “print” button.

How to Make a Brownie Fruit Pizza

First, preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Either spray the bottom of a pizza pan or spread a flavorless oil over it. I used avocado oil.

You can either use a brownie mix for an easy brownie crust or make it from scratch with your favorite brownie recipe. I used a mix and followed the instructions on the box for the brownie cookie recipe. Combine the brownie mix, melted butter, and eggs in a large bowl. Stir it until it is well mixed.

Next, spread the batter over the greased pizza pan. Try to make it as even as possible, but it doesn’t have to be perfect.

Put it in the oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from the oven, place it on a cooling rack, and wait for it to cool to room temperature before frosting it.

If you’re making homemade cream cheese frosting, put the cream cheese, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla in a medium bowl. Use a mixer to combine the ingredients.

After it’s smooth and creamy, the sweet cream cheese frosting is ready to put on the brownie crust. Once the brownie crust is no longer warm, put the frosting over the middle. Use a spatula and spread it to about 1/2 inch from the edges.

Top with fruit and nuts, either randomly or in a pattern. I like doing it randomly, but it really doesn’t matter. It’s equally delicious either way.

Allow it to set for 1/2 hour before serving. I put it in the refrigerator so the frosting will firm up more quickly.

How to Serve a Brownie Fruit Dessert Pizza

When it’s ready to serve, slice the brownie fruit pizza into slices. Make them as large or small as you like.

I’ve found that this recipe makes about 20 servings for most groups. If you need more, you can either cut them smaller or make a second one. If the fruit and nut topping isn’t enough you can add some whipped cream or vanilla ice cream. Since this is such a rich dessert, I would prefer whipped cream.
