These pepperoni pretzel pizza bites are perfect for snacking on while watching sports, enjoying a great movie, or during family game night. Not only are they delicious, but they’re also fun to make. In fact, you can turn production into a memory with the kids or grandkids! They’ll love it!

I highly recommend reading this entire post before you begin preparing the recipe. However, if all you want is the list of ingredients with full directions, please either click on the jump-to-recipe button above or scroll to the bottom of this post.

Pizza Pretzels

Pizza pretzels are typically a huge hit among all age groups, from small children to their grandparents. How do I know this? I’m a grandmother of small children, and they disappear very quickly!

They’re easy to make and packed with amazing deliciousness. For that reason, you need to make a bunch of them. Everyone will want seconds and thirds.

Something I’ve come to realize is that delicious treats don’t have to be complicated or difficult. In fact, sometimes it’s the easiest ones that are the biggest hits. And these super easy snacks will win over even the biggest skeptic.

Ingredients

All of the ingredients for these delicious little treats are easy to find at most grocery stores.

Here are the items you’ll need:

  • Twisted style pretzels (regular or gluten-free)
  • Pepperoni slices
  • Provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Shredded mozzarella cheese (optional)
twisted pretzels, slices of pepperoni, sliced cheese, and shredded cheese

For exact measurements of each ingredient and full directions, go to the recipe card at the bottom of the page. You can even print out the card by using the “print” button.

If you’re making this snack for anyone who shouldn’t eat gluten, make sure you use gluten-free pretzels. They’re becoming more readily available as manufacturers have acknowledged this important market.

You can either offer both regular and gluten-free options. However, I typically make all of them gluten-free. No one has complained yet. In fact, they are more likely to ask for the recipe.

How to Make Pepperoni Pretzel Pizza Bites

Before you get started, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and put all of the ingredients within reach. That way, you’ll have everything close at hand and not have to search for something.

First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line your baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper.

Secondly, place all of the pretzels on the baking sheet in a single layer.

Next, top each of the pretzels with a single slice of pepperoni.

Try to center it as much as you can.

Then, put the slices of cheese over the pepperoni.

The cheese should be a little smaller than the pepperoni, but it’s okay if it hangs off just a little.

I’ve tried putting the cheese on first, but it melts down beneath the pretzels and makes a huge mess.

If you want more cheese, sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the other cheese.

Place the pan in the hot oven so the cheese can melt. It should take about 5 minutes, but if your oven runs hot, check it after 3 minutes.

Once the cheese is melted, remove the pan from the oven and place the pizza bites on a serving platter.

Put the platter on the snack table beside a bowl of marinara for dipping.

Since this is so delicious, you might want to have another pan of these little pizza bites ready to go in the oven. Otherwise, folks will be disappointed because they are so yummy.

Vary the Toppings

You can vary this recipe if you feel adventurous. Here are some things you might want to try:

  • Use slices of ham instead of pepperoni.
  • Try a variety of cheeses for a new flavor sensation.
  • Sprinkle some chopped onions, bell peppers, or jalapeños on top of the cheese.

If you’re feeding a bunch of people, whether they’re friends or family members, you can pretty much count on a variety of tastes. For that reason, it’s a good idea to add several different toppings.

You might also want to have different types of sauce, besides just the marinara. Alfredo sauce is another excellent option.

Best Snacks and Appetizers

Whether you enjoy snacking or enjoy having something to munch on before dinner, you’ll love these yummy little pretzel pepperoni pizzas.

Add them to a table with other favorite appetizers, and you’ll be a huge hit with family and guests. Offer a broad range of foods to satisfy everyone.

Another delicious treat is a platter of these easy-to-make deviled eggs. You can follow the recipe as-is or add a few other ingredients to personalize them.

We also enjoy munching on marinated mushrooms. They’re good when you add them to casseroles and sauces, or you can enjoy them on their own.

Don’t forget about the veggies. Place a platter of celery, carrots, broccoli and other crunchy vegetables beside some creamy homemade buttermilk ranch dressing.

If you want to serve crackers, make sure you have plenty of this spinach dip. You can serve it either cold or hot.

One of the first things people usually attack at the snack table is the platter holding these 3-ingredient sausage balls. And they dissappear very quickly!

These bacon wrapped potato wedges are always popular, yet they’re so easy to make!

More Recipes to Feed a Hungry Crowd

Cooking food for a lot of people doesn’t have to be a daunting task. Choose dishes that are easy to make but still taste delicious.

It’s always good to have a variety of salads that you can make in advance. One that we like is this amazing southern-style potato salad that my mother used to make.

Another great salad is this Greek olive and feta salad. It has a lot of flavor for very little effort.

I also like to make casseroles in advance. In fact, many of them can be assembled the day before, so all you have to do is put them in the oven on the day you want to serve them.

One of our favorites is this super easy chicken rice casserole. Most people enjoy it because it’s such a delicious comfort food.

Or for something a little different, try this roasted chicken and vegetable casserole from Miz Helen’s Country Cottage.

We also like this Crock Pot lasagna. Simply put the ingredients in the slow cooker, turn it on, and it’s ready whenever you are.

Don’t forget about dessert. For something refreshingly sweet and delicious, try this creamy cherry lime pie.
